Metal Slug Tactics é o novo jogo da franquia clássica dos anos 90. It’s been years since I really got into Metal Slug games, but luckily there is a blurb that provides the context: Metal Slug Tactics from developer Leikir Studio and publisher Dotemu was recently revealed during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest and from the looks of the trailer, its shaping up to be one tactical-roguelike game you should definitely set your radars on. Metal Slug also had huge bosses to cap the levels and while there is a new perspective in the game, the latest gameplay trailer for Metal Slug Tactics shows that the bosses are as meaty as before. The pixelated characters look adorable in every dimension and the levels are beautifully detailed dioramas full of fun little battles.
Aesthetically, nothing is lost in the translation. As we saw during E3, the traditional 2D platformer spawned an isometric strategy game. Metal Slug Tactics that add a third dimension was an excellent idea.
